"I think we can all agree this is a good day for America." -President Barack Obama
The First part of this is directed to someone specific. I won't post their name, they know who they are...
In the face of jubilation of a country weary of terrorism and the diligence it takes to protect ourselves from it, HOW DARE YOU? You message me your self-righteous twattle of injustices we've done and how we don't have the right to kill Bin Laden?
Who gave him the right? On September 11, 2001, from Bin Laden's orders, thousands were killed . Is that right? Is it right that he ripped a grievous wound into the belly of my homeland?
I remember that day as clearly as yesterday, when I have forgotten so many others since. I along with millions of others watched in horror as those planes hit the towers. Sobbed with broken hearts, as desperate INNOCENT people hurled themselves out of the burning towers, knowing they would never survive. I remember for the first and ONLY time in my life thinking I was glad my parents were not alive to witness the terror. I remember sitting eyes glazed, as those towers finally crumbled, taking hundreds of brave fire and police rescuers to their deaths.
WHO GAVE HIM THE RIGHT??
To the men and women of our military, past and present, who have served bravely and selflessly, I send a heartfelt THANK YOU!
To my friends, who share in the joy of the news that Bin Laden is dead, enjoy this moment along with me. Keep those that are is perils way in your prayers.
It would be wonderful if Bin Ladens death meant an end to terrorism, but sadly it doesn't. We must now be diligent of possible repercussions from yesterdays events. We should also be cautious not to point fingers at our Muslim citizens. I am no expert on their beliefs and religion, but know the extremist terrorists have twisted the Koran to justify the insanity of their actions.
It IS a good day for America. I fervently hope that our days continue to improve and we may soon have our military personnel home, safe with their families.
So I will celebrate in my heart on the news that Bin Laden is dead. If you are someone who disagrees, that is your right. At least it is your right in America. BUT do NOT tell me about who has the "right" to kill a monster who is responsible for the deaths of thousands. I don't have the time to listen...
